Michael Thompson, a professor in the Agronomy Department at Iowa State. Teaches courses on soil and plant chemistry. In the G2G project, he works with Marshall McDaniel, also in Agronomy, to investigate the impacts of annual and perennial crops on soil properties at the COBS (Comparison of Biofuel Cropping Systems) long-term field experiment. The data we collect will be useful for other researchers who are using cropping system models to make predictions about G2G soil amendments.
